Mangaluru: 2 auto drivers electrocuted near Rosario

Mangaluru, June 27, 2024: Two autorickshaw drivers died due to electrocution near the Rosario School in the city on Thursday morning.

The deceased are Raju of Puttur and Devaraju of Sakleshpur. Both were residing in a rented accommodation behind Rosario Church.

At around 4.30 am one of them had come out of the house to clean the autorickshaw when an electric cable got snapped and fell over him. The other driver rushed to his rescue and in the process both were electrocuted.

The bodies of the two drivers have been kept in the Wenlock mortuary.
