Mangaluru : 2 detained for assaulting cops on duty

Mangaluru, Jul 15, 2021: Police have detained two persons in connection with a case of alleged assault on police personnel on duty at Urwa police station on July 14, Wednesday.

It is said Noel Sequeira, John Sequeira and another woman had assaulted the cops including a lady personnel on Wednesday. Following the incident  the assaulted cops Narayan and Pooja Hiremutt have been hospitalised.

It is learnt the three had come to the station to discuss an incident that took place in May. Following a dispute over maintenance charges and water connection in an apartment, a case was then  registered but was however  later withdrawn after talks between the two sides.
