Mangaluru: Accused in multiple theft cases, absconding for years, arrested

Mangaluru, November 9, 2024: The Mulki police have arrested a man accused in theft case who had been on the run for three years.

The accused, Suresh Poojary (52), from Attur in Karkala, was apprehended in Savalanga, Davanagere district. Following his arrest, the Moodbidri court remanded him to judicial custody.

Poojary faces several theft charges filed across police stations in Dharmasthala, Beltangady, Udupi City, Hebri, Shirva, Hiriyadka, Padubidri, Karkala City, Davanagere Rural, and Maharashtra.

The operation was led by Police Inspector Vidhyadhar D Bykerikar, supported by SI Anita, and head constables Udaya and Jayaram J.
