Mangaluru : Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrated at Town Hall

Mangaluru, April 14, 2021:  The 130th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution was  celebrated at Town Hall on April 14, Wednesday under the aegis of the DK District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Mangaluru City Corporation and Social Welfare Department. S Angara, State Minister for Fisheries inaugurated the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Angara said Dr Ambedkar was a towering personality who showed the way to the society by incorporating the vision of social and economic justice in the constitution.

Shashi Kumar, City Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu were present as chief guests.

Ashalatha,  Lecturer in Political Science in Govinda Dasa College Suratkal was the resource person.
