Mangaluru : An orientation programme aimed at enlightening students as well as parents was organised at Boscoss Pre-University College in Mangaluru.
Dr A.M. Narahari, Registrar of St Aloysius Autonomous College who was present as a chief guest, said it takes a lot of efforts for the knowledge gained by students to transform into intelligence. The students have to learn a lot in life, he said. "Students at the outset may not see any problem but the actual problems are faced by parents," he added.
Dr . K Rajendra, retired professor of Bio-Sciences spoke on the role of students, parents and teachers in Pre-University Education. Manohar Concesso, Vice Principal and Maths Professor, spoke on the rules and regulations of the College.
S.S. Bosco, Executive Trustee of Boscoss Educational Trust, welcomed the gathering. P. Shantharam, retired Professor of Chemistry in St. Aloysius College, delivered the introductory remarks. Dr Dinesh Nayak, Principal proposed the vote of thanks.
Hemamalini, Lecturer in English compered the programme. Ejithin Bosco, Chief of Boscoss Educational Trust was present among others.
