Mangaluru: Builder booked for sexually abusing woman

Mangaluru, October 26, 2024: A case has been registered in the Women’s Police Station against a builder on the charges of sexually harassing a woman after taking her to Kodagu district on the pretext of showing a site.

The complainant woman has said she was from Kodagu district and had business in Mangaluru and Dubai. She said she knew the accused Rasheed and  went along with him on October 21 to Kushalnagar after he said there was a good site for sale there. She said at Kushalnagar Rasheed misbehaved with her and also sexually abused her while on the return journey.

The victim said she brought the matter to the notice of her cafe manager and this infuriated Rasheed who reportedly slapped and abused her.

Further investigations are in progress.
