Mangaluru: Businessman Mumtaz Ali’s body traced in Phalguni river

Mangaluru, October 7, 2024: The body of businessman Mumtaz Ali was traced in the Phalguni river in Kulur on Monday morning after a continuous search for 28 hours. Mumtaz Ali was the brother of former MLA Moideen Bava.

It may be recalled here that Mumtaz was missing since Sunday morning with his car found abandoned near the Kuloor bridge. The car was found mangled in the front portion.

The body has been shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

It may be recalled here that Kavoor police have registered cases against six persons for continuously harassing Ali and also extorting lakhs of rupees from him. The complaint was lodged by Mumtaz Ali’s brother Hyder Ali.
