Mangaluru: ’Chappan bhog’ Thali at Ocean Pearl

Mangaluru, Aug, 09, 2015:  The city it is reported has now it’s own brand of  the ’Surat giant thali’. Named as ’Chappan Bhog’ thali with at least  56 items.  it appeared recently  had has got big popularity according to   the  GM, Hotel Ocean Pearl.   He said that the Thali  has got the attention of  food buffs.  Ocean Pearl started receiving hundreds of calls from Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. It was  introduce  and charges a reasonable Rs 501.   The thali which appeared on Facebook and WhatsApp and went viral was the  root of this evil! 

This thali offers  four welcome drinks, a number of chutneys, five types of rice, rotis and pickle and eight vegetable dishes and of course 10 desserts.  One  person cannot finish the meal, so  sharing is not excluded.    The thali offered for lunch has got good orders and many foodies admire it.
