Mangaluru: Container truck veers into roadside ditch near Thokkottu

Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2022: A huge container truck transporting cars landed on a road side ditch partially after its driver lost control over the vehicle in his bid to avoid collision with a car which took a sudden turn  at Kapikad near Thokkottu on the NH 66 on January 23, Sunday.

The car driver’s negligence is blamed for the accident as he took a sudden turn without any indication on the highway. The accident  has also been captured on CCTV camera.

Traffic was affected on the highway  until the container truck was moved from the area with the help of a crane. The vehicle was transporting Hyundai cars from Mumbai to Kasargod.
