Mangaluru, Oct 31, 2015: Four persons have been arrested by the CCB police in connection with the murder of rowdy sheeter Vijeeth (29) at Shivanagara Junction in Moodushedde on October 29.
Those arrested are Raghavendra alias Raghu (30) and Mahammad Altaf (21), both from Shivanagara, Havith Poojary (21) from Gokarna and Shamsheer alias Dam (21) from Moodushedde Shalepadavu.
The investigations into the case have revealed that a previous enmity had led to the murder. Sources said a few weeks ago Vijeeth had made a forcible entry into the house of Raghu alias Raghavendrra and had attacked him. It is believed that following this incident Raghu and his associates decided to finish off Vijeeth.
Raghu is a wanted accused in the case of murder of Vamanjoor Rohi associate Murugesh and his brother-in-law Upendra. He is also said to be an accused in the Bejai Raja murder case. Another arrested person Havith is also an accused in a murder attempt case reported from Ullal police station limits.
The arrests were made by a police team led by CCB Inspector Venkatesh Prasanna.
