Mangaluru: Cops arrest Karkala man for blackmailing women

Mangaluru, March 3, 2025: Kadri police have arrested a man on the charges of blackmailing young women after claiming that he had their obscene videos and he would upload them on social media.           

The arrested man is Satish Hosmar (36) from Eedu village in Karkala.

He used to secure the mobile numbers and social media IDs of young women and used to blackmail them. A woman had lodged a complaint at Kadri police station in this regard. Police who swung into action arrested the accused. He is facing many cases in Karkala. He had even undergone imprisonment in a theft case a year ago.
