Mangaluru, July 16, 2022: Officials of the Diocese of Mangalore, Catholic Sabha, priests, nuns and community leaders met Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala who was recently nominated to the Rajya Sabha and honoured him at his residence in Dharmasthala on July 15, Friday.
Msgr Fr Maxim L Noronha, Vicar General, Dr J B Saldanha and Roy Castelino, PR officers of the diocese, Fr Rupesh Madtha, designate editor of Raknno Weekly, Fr Anil Fernandes, director, Canara Communication Centre, Dr John D’Silva, secretary, Diocesan Pastoral Council, Romans Lobo, member of the Commission for Inter Religious Dialogue, congratulated Dr Heggade on behalf of the Bishop and the diocese, on his nomination to the Rajya Sabha. They also felicitated Dr Heggade with a bouquet of flowers and shawl.
Responding to the felicitation, Dr Heggade thanked the Christian leaders for felicitating him and assured to serve the nation and represent everyone as a Rajya Sabha member.
