Mangaluru: Eid Milad celebrated with great devotion

Mangaluru, Oct 9, 2022: Muslim brethren across the city are celebrating  Eid Milad or Milad-Un-Nabi with religious fervour on Sunday.

Mass prayers are being held at various mosques in Mangaluru. A large number of Muslims had gathered at the Idgah mosque at Light House Hill for the Eid Namaz.  People were also seen exchanging Eid greetings and best wishes. Eid Milad processions are also taken out  by various mosques.

Eid-Milad  falls on the third month of Islamic calendar and marks the birth as well as death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad. The day is marked by various programmes including religious meets and discourses in mosques.
