Mangaluru: Experts inspect Kethikal hills; suggest remedial measures

Mangaluru, August 8, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has informed that two experts from Geological Survey of India have visited Kethikal in Vamanjoor which is facing fears of landslide.

Speaking to reporters, the DC said he has visited the spot along with the experts and sought their opinion regarding the place. He said the experts have pointed out the dangerous spot at Kethikal and that there was a fear of landslide if the water that is gushing from atop is not channelized at one spot. The DC said he has instructed officials to  take immediate measures.

The DC further said measures have been taken to shift residents of houses close by Kethikal hills.
