Mangaluru: Four arrested for ganja consumption

Mangaluru, April 28, 2025: Police have arrested four individuals on charges of consuming ganja within the jurisdiction of Kankanady Town and Urwa police stations.

The arrests were made based on allegations that the accused were consuming ganja near Jappinamogaru Junction and causing public nuisance. The individuals arrested are Abdul Khader Saharan, Harshith (22) from Moodigere residing in Bejai Kapikad, Anand Girish (27) from Ezikkara in Ernakulam, Kerala, and Abel C. Ashok (22) from Kollam.

Medical tests confirmed that the accused had consumed ganja. Police have registered a case against them under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
