Mangaluru: Heavy rains, wind uproot many trees

Mangaluru, July 22, 2023: Several trees were uprooted in Mangaluru and elsewhere in the district on July 22, Saturday due to heavy rains and strong winds.

In Kottara area over 20 trees have rolled on to the roads and have also damaged electric poles.

 

 

Fire service personnel cleared the roads of trees at Kottara and Zilla Panchayat office area in the city.

In Neralakatte of Netlamudnur, traffic was affected after a tree fell on the Maani-Mysuru Highway. In Bantwal Lorettopadavu, a tree fell on the road affecting traffic.
