Mangaluru: Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrated with patriotic fervor

Mangaluru, November 1, 2024: Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated with gaiety and fervor at the Nehru Maidan on November 1, Friday. DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao hoisted the flag and received the guard of honour.

In his address, the minister spoke about the achievements of the state and the several programmes initiated by the state government for the welfare of the people.

 

Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta, Legislators Vedavyas Kamath, Ivan D’Souza, Mayor Manoj Kodikal, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, Additional DC Dr Santosh Kumar, City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal and many others were present.

District level Rajyotsava Awards were presented to 59 achievers and 24 organizations on the occasion.

Prior to the function a procession featuring the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari and a tableau featuring Rashtrakavi Kuvempu was taken out from the Ambedkar Circle to Nehru Maidan.
