Mangaluru: Man arrested for trying to throw cell phones, cigarettes inside the jail

Mangaluru, January 7, 2025: A 21 year old man has been arrested on the charges of trying to throw mobile phones and cigarettes inside the premises of the District Prison.

The arrested man has been identified as Prajwal of Panjimogaru. He was found trying to throw a bundle wrapped with a red tape. The security staff who noticed this immediately took him to custody.

On inspection, the bundle which he was trying to throw, had two keypad mobile phones and two cigarette packets.

Interrogation of the accused revealed that he was earlier jailed in another case. Barke police are investigating the case.
