Mangaluru: Missing young man from Krishnapura found dead in river near Manjeshwar

Mangaluru, Jan 12, 2024: A young man from Krishnapura who was reported missing after he had been to a relative’s house at Manjeshwar has been found dead in the Koppala river near Manjeshwar.

 

The deceased is Ihab Aboobakker (20). He was a student of AJ Medical College. A few days ago, he had been to Manjeshwar to a relative’s house following which he was missing. Following this a complaint was filed.

Police who launched a search found a body in the river on Wednesday. As the identity could not be ascertained, the Kerala police had contacted the Karnataka police. The family members of the youth who visited the Kasargod General Hospital mortuary where the body was kept, identified it as that of Ihab.

The cause of the death is not yet ascertained.
