Mangaluru: One arrested for attacking toll gate staff at Talapady; 2 absconding

Mangaluru, December 03, 2024: Ullal Police have arrested one person in connection with the attack on the staff of the toll gate at Talapady on the NH 66 on Sunday night. Search is on for two other accused.

A car of Uttar Pradesh registration which was heading towards Kerala with five youth travelling in it had moved forward at the Talapady toll gate without paying toll. The staff there banged on the rear of the car demanding toll. This infuriated those in the car who then attacked the toll staff.

Toll staff Aman, Sudhama and Manu were injured and have been hospitalized.

It is learnt the accused are Ullal residents and have been identified as Zulfan, Nifan and Fayaz. The incident has been caught on CCTV camera. Further investigations are in progress.
