Mangaluru: Police dog ’Geetha’ passes away

Mangaluru, Sep 03, 2022:  Geetha, the police dog serving the Mangaluru police in explosives detection, died on September 3.

Born in 2011, Geetha, joined the police service after an 11-month-long training at Adugodi in Bengaluru.

The faithful canine served in the police dog squad for 11 long years. During this time, she was sent on countless explosives detection missions, especially during the visits of VIP’s, and public events, police said.
