Mangaluru: Renowed Yakshagana artiste Jayaram Acharya passes away

Mangaluru, October 21, 2024: Renowned Thenkuthittu Yakshagana comedy artiste Bantwal Jayaram Acharya passed away in Bengaluru following a heart attack on October 21, Monday morning.

Acharya was in Bengaluru for a Yakshagana performance as part of a team led by Chandrashekhar Dharmasthala when he suffered a heart attack.Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

Acharya is survived by his wife and two children.
