Mangaluru: Tragedy during swimming: Body of missing youth traced

Mangaluru, October 1, 2024: The body of Sumith (20) of Kottara Chowki who was feared drowned while swimming along with his friends at Phalguni river near Maravoor bridge, has been traced on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place on Sunday evening when four friends including Sumith had stepped into the river to swim. Sumith and Anish had drowned during swimming. While the body of Anish was traced on Monday, the body of Sumith was traced on Tuesday after intensive search by the disaster response teams.
