Mangaluru: Two arrested for illegal sale of Marijuana near Pilikula

Mangaluru, January 4, 2025: Mangaluru Rural Police have arrested two individuals, Asif (34) and Niyaz N.A. (40), residents of Jodumarga near Mood village, on charges of illegally selling marijuana near the gate of the Pilikula Doordarshan Centre on the city outskirts.

The accused were allegedly transporting and selling marijuana to the public and college students on January 2. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and seized 958 grams of marijuana worth approximately ₹20,000, along with mobile phones, from the accused.

The operation was led by Mangaluru Rural Police Station Inspector K.R. Shivakumar, along with Sub-Inspectors Arun Kumar D. and Puneet, and officers Sajunayar, Mahesh, Akkar, and Thirumalesh.
