Mangaluru: Young woman who went missing from Bejai found in Karkala

Mangaluru, August 6, 2024: A young woman who had been missing from her home in Bejai for a week has been found at a man’s house in Karkala.

Keilsta Feravo, 18, a resident of Bejai, disappeared on July 30 without informing her family. Despite their extensive search efforts, her whereabouts remained unknown, leading her parents to file a missing persons report at Barke Police Station.

The Barke police launched an investigation and discovered through CCTV footage that Keilsta had left her home in an auto-rickshaw. They also learned that she frequently played the online game PUBG. This information led them to a house in Gajendra Bail village, Karkala, where Keilsta was eventually located.

When the police arrived, they brought both Keilsta and the man she was with to the station for questioning. During interrogation, they revealed that they were in a romantic relationship. It was noted that Keilsta appeared mentally unstable and unable to make sound decisions. Since she refused to return to her parents, she was admitted to a rehabilitation center for care.
