Mangaluru man honey-trapped by gang from Kadaba; 1 detained

Kadaba, Oct 06, 2022: A youth from Mangaluru was reportedly honey-trapped by a group from Kadaba. In this connection police have taken one person into custody.

 

It is said the accused who had opened a fake FB account in the name of a young woman had managed to trap a youth from Mangaluru and had convinced him to come to Kadaba late night on Tuesday. Later he was reportedly taken to a place in Kermai Koriyar and assaulted. The group also threatened to make some pics  viral if he did not yield to their demand for cash.

The victim managed to  inform the police through a friend. The police then tried to summon the accused through the victim itself on the pretext of handing over cash. However, the accused on realising that they will be trapped managed to escape. Meanwhile, one of them, a youth from Mardhala has been taken into custody by the police.
