Manipal: Cops arrest 3 engineering students for drugs peddling

Udupi, July 26, 2023: Manipal police who raided two houses at Vidyaratna and Saralebettu on July 25, Tuesday have arrested three students who were involved in drugs peddling. Police have seized 2.100 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.10 lakhs from the accused.

 

Those arrested are Ayushraj (21) from Patna, Vinay Kumar Singh (20) from Hyderabad and Mayas Chandel (18) from Lucknow. All the three are third year computer science engineering students of MIT.

Police interrogations had revealed that the trio had purchased the ganja from their friend Srikanth and had intended to sell it to other students.

Manipal police are investigating the case.
