Manipal: Rider dies as bike hits stationed lorry

Manipal, December 9, 2024: A bike rider lost his life after his two-wheeler rammed into a stationed lorry on the roadside on the NH 169A at Parkala on Sunday afternoon. The lorry had stopped due to a technical snag when the mishap took place.

The deceased is Srijan Sagar (22) of Parkala. The driver had stopped the lorry on the roadside after its tyre had exploded. Srijan’s bike rammed into the lorry from behind. He died at the KMC Hospital at Manipal where he was rushed soon after the mishap.

Srijan had joined work at KMC just recently. A case has been registered in Manipal Police Station.
