Manjeshwar Science Fest pandal collapse case : Six arrested

Kasargod, Oct 22, 2022: Manjeshwar Police have arrested as many as six persons in connection with the collapse of the pandal put up at the venue of Manjeshwar sub-district level Science Fest on Friday resulting in injuries to 59 persons.

 

Those arrested are pandal contractor Gokuldas, Ahmedali, A P Abdul Basheer, Abdul Shamil, Ilyas Muhammad and Ashraf.

The  incident took place at the premises of the Bekur Government Higher Secondary School on Friday afternoon. Kerala Education Minister Shivan Kutti had earlier ordered a probe into the incident

 Police said the 15 of the injured who  were being treated at hospitals in Kasargod and Mangaluru have recovered while  the rest have been discharged.
