Manjeshwar: Youth shot at by unidentified assailants

Manjeshwar, April 28, 2025: A young areca merchant who was riding his bike was injured after he was shot at by unknown assailants at Kajepadavu near Mudipu on the Karnataka-Kerala border late night on Sunday.

The injured person is Sawad (20) of Bakrabail Nadibailu. He was on way home when the incident took place.

Sawad who has sustained serious injuries in his leg has been admitted to hospital.  It is suspected that some drug addicts might be behind that attack.

It is learnt, Sawad while heading home saw the headlight of an oncoming vehicle and stopped his bike when the attack took place.

Manjeshwar police are investigating the case. The cause of the attack is yet to be known.
