Manjunath Bhandary files nomination as Congress candidate for MLC polls

Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2021: Manjunath Bhandary  filed his nomination on November 23, Tuesday as a Congress candidate for the upcoming Legislative Council election from the Local Authorities constituency of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

District Congress President Harish Kumar, former minister Ramanatha Rai, party leaders  Mithun Rai, Abhayachandra Jain,  J R Lobo, Shashidhar Hegde, Ivan D’Souza, BA Moidin Bava and others were present.

Manjunath Bhandary who hails from  Tenka Belluru village of Bantwal Taluk is the  Founder of Bhandary Foundation which manages the Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management.

 Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination, Bhandary said he has been associated with the Congress party right since his student days. He said the party leadership has given him an ordinary party worker like him n  opportunity to contest the elections and exuded confidence of winning the election.

Manjunath Bhandary who is a postgraduate in political science,  has earlier served as Chikkamagaluru District NSUI President,  All India Youth Congress Secretary, KPCC  Vice President and AICC Member.
