Maruthi Omni catches fire at Kolambe

Udupi, Feb 5, 2012: A Maruti Omni car caught fire at Kolambe on the Brahmavara – Hebri highway on Feb 4 Sunday at 4:00 a.m. 

The Brahmavar police were on the spot in minutes, and the flames were doused with the help of local people.

The vehicle has been extensively damaged, but as the fire was put off immediately, it was prevented from spreading and causing more damage. The cause for the fire is not yet known.

The traffic was blocked for a long time.
