Massive fire guts SLRM unit at Brahmavar

Udupi, March 1, 2025: A massive fire erupted in the SLRM unit at Brahmavar during the wee hours of March 1, Saturday. A garbage vehicle exploded during the fire mishap which gutted the entire unit.

 

 

 

 

Fire tender vehicles from Malpe, Udupi and Kundapur rushed to the spot to douse the fire and ensure the fire did not spread to surrounding areas.

The SLRM uinit belonged to Varamballi Panchayat. All equipment and machinery in the unit were gutted in the mishap. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
