Medical student commits suicide; body found decomposed

Mangaluru, September 17, 2024: A student of a medical college has reportedly committed suicide at his residence at Pragathinagar in Suratkal. His body was found in a decomposed state.

The deceased is Mohan Kumar Meti (22) of Chikkaballapur. On September 12, Mohan’s mother had called his mobile phone but the calls went unanswered. Following this, Mohan’s mother contacted his landowner who rushed to the accommodation of Mohan where he was found hanging and the body decomposed.

The reason behind the suicide is not known. The family members of the deceased arrived in Mangaluru and took the mortal remains to their hometown.

Suratkal police are investigating the case.
