Meenakshi Negi to head Karnataka Forest Department

Bengaluru, February 21, 2025: The state government on Thursday appointed senior IFS officer Meenakshi Negi as the first woman head of Forest Department.

In an order, the government said that Meenakshi Negi, a 1989 batch officer, would take over as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force) with immediate effect. She is expected to take charge on Friday.
