Minister Dinesh Gundurao orders suspension of excavation works during monsoon

Mangaluru, August 3, 2024: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao has ordered suspension of all excavation works for construction activities, in the backdrop of fears of landslide during monsoons.

The Minister held a meeting with officials on Friday to discuss rain related calamities. He said there have been complaints of inconvenience caused due to excavation works during monsoon and directed the officials not to allow excavation works and initiate stern action against those violating the rule.

MCC Commissioner Anand said already land excavation for construction works has been suspended.

Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, ZP CEO Dr Anand and other officials were present.
