Miscreants set afire the shop of accused in sexual abuse case

Vittal, September 28, 2024: An incident wherein some miscreants set afire the shop of a man accused of sexually harassing a minor girl, has been reported from Kuddupadavu in Vittal.

Ashraf, the shop owner was earlier accused of sexually abusing a girl who had come to his shop. A complaint was lodged in Vittal police station and Ashraf was arrested and produced before the court. He had secured a bail within a week. Meanwhile, on Friday night miscreants have set afire to his petty shop and some passersby rushed to help and doused the fire.
