Municipal workers’ stir: City stinks with piles of garbage

Mangaluru, July 04, 2022: With municipal workers on strike since July 1 in support of their various demands, the door-to-door collection of wastes and disposal has come to an abrupt halt. The result-garbage is seen piled up at various places in the city.

 

 

 

Particularly wet wastes are emanating a foul smell and a cleanliness problem has arisen in the city which boasts to be a clean city.

Huge heaps of garbage can be seen in front of residential complexes and other areas and several places have become slushy  and are stinking.
