Naming of Shree Mangaladevi Temple Road gets state government nod

Mangaluru, Dec 01, 2023: The state government has approved the naming of the road from AB Shetty Circle upto Marnamikatte first bridge via Pandeshwar, Monkey Stand and Mangaladevi Temple as the Shree Mangaladevi Temple Road.

 

A proposal in this regard was approved at the December 2021 MCC meeting and the same was sent to the government in January 2022. Following the approval from the state government, the Urban Development Department Director, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner and the MCC Commissioner has issued an order to rename the road as Shree Mangaladevi Temple Road.

MCC Chief Whip Premananda Shetty said the proposal was passed when he was the Mayor. He said the MCC has taken steps to put up sign boards throughout the road with the new name.
