Narrow escape for passengers as car falls into gorge

Bantwal, July 14, 2022: Passengers travelling in a car had a narrow escape when the car overturned and fell into a roadside gorge at Hanchikatte  on the B C Road-Dharmasthala road on July 13, Wednesday.

 

The car driver Sahik, passengers Sauda, Fauzia, Shahina and a six month old infant escaped with only minor injuries. All the injured have been admitted to Bantwal Government Hospital. It is learnt the family was returning after visiting a relative who is sick.

The slippery road filled with slush due to landslides, is said to be the reason behind the mishap.
