National flag hoisted upside down : action sought against boat owner

Mangaluru, May 11, 2020:   A private boat with  the national flag hoisted upside down was spotted at the Netravathi banks in Ullal on Sunday. It has been alleged that the owner of the boat has resorted to such a move recklessly thereby offending the national tricolour.

 

The boat owner is  a retired  ship captain and now owns a boat for his personal use.  When a local resident  drew the attention of the boat owner towards the upside down national flag, he reportedly took it very lightly.

Now, locals have demanded action against him for offending the national flag. Even MLA Vedavyas Kamath, through a tweet has requested the Police Commissioner to take action.
