Naveen D Padil bags Best Actor award at Karnataka International Film Fest

Mangaluru, Dec 24, 2023: Actor Naveen D Padil, popularly known as ’Kusaldarase’, bagged the Best Actor award at the Karnataka International Film Festival in Hubballi, hosted by the Karnataka International Film Academy.

The award-winning film, "Moogajjana Koli," helmed by Santhosh Moda, weaves a compelling narrative and stars Naveen D Padil in the central role of Moogajja. Depicting the character of a quiet elderly man with a fondness for chickens, Padil’s outstanding performance garnered recognition at the festival.

Crafted by K Suresh under the banner "Nammakanasu Productions," "Moogajjana Koli" stands out as a notable milestone for being the first Are Bhashe film. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district, the film delves into the dynamics and connection between an innocent-minded girl, portrayed by Kumari Gaurika, and Govinda, the speech-impaired chicken farmer brought to life by Naveen D Padil.
