Naveen D’Souza demands White Paper on MCC financial position

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2022: Opposition Congress leader in the MCC Naveen D’Souza has urged the Mangaluru City Corporation to bring out a white paper on its financial condition.

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on December 31, Saturday, he said the Mayor has given prior sanction to avail a  Rs 30  crore KUIDFC loan. Objection has already been raised to this at the meeting.  Hope MCC is not in such dire straits to get KUIDFC loan for every small work, he said.

He said the issue will be discussed  with party leaders to chalk out an action plan to protest against this.

Senior Corporator and former mayor Shashidhar Hegde said in MCC the mayor can  prepare action plan while the MLAs should ensure sanction of  funds from the government.
