Naxal operative Thombattu Lakshmi likely to surrender today

Udupi, Feb 2, 2025: Thombattu Lakshmi, a naxal operative hailing from Thombattu village in Kundapur, is expected to surrender to authorities in Udupi or Chikkamagaluru on Sunday, February 2.

Lakshmi has been associated with naxal activities for several years and is reportedly facing three cases registered at the Amasebail and Shankaranarayana police stations.

Sources indicate that Lakshmi had been residing in Andhra Pradesh with her husband, a former naxal operative who has since returned to the mainstream. While Lakshmi was active in naxal operations, she is not regarded as a hardcore operative like Mundagaru Lata and Vikram Gowda.

Top sources suggest that the surrender is most likely to occur in Udupi.
