Netravathi river in spate; close to danger mark

Bantwal, July 07, 2022: The water level in River Netravathi, the lifeline of Dakshina Kannada district is rising due to the heavy rains that has been lashing the region since the past few days.

 

As on Thursday, the water level of the river is 8 meters. The danger mark of the river is 8.5 meters and the water level might reach that height if the intensity of rain increases today. In such an event several low lying areas are likely to be inundated.
