New Rail Fare effective from January 22

Mangalore, Jan 18: The proposed passenger fare revision in Railways will come in to effect from 22nd January 2013 (Tuesday).

 

Railways have made the following arrangements to remit the diffence of fare on tickets booked in advance.

1.      At major stations additional counters will be opened in Passenger Reservation Centres and at Information centres for collectaion of difference of fare.

2.      At all other stations passengers can pay the difference of fare at booking counters before the commencement of journey.

3.      Pasengers can also pay the difference between old fare and  new fare in trains.

Passengers are requested to make use this facility and pay fare difference at the station in advance to avoid inconvenience and last minute rush on the day of journey.

Passengers are also requested to carry sufficient cash in lower denominations and co-operate with Railways for speedy service.
