Newly married couple killed in tragic road mishap at Thokkottu

Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2020:    A newly married couple lost their lives in a tragic road accident involving their two-wheeler and a lorry at Thokkottu flyover on October 27, Tuesday evening.

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased are Priya Fernandes (26) and Rayan Fernandes (30). The couple working at Fr Muller Hospital were on way to their rented home at Bangera Lane at Ullal when  the   lorry rammed into their  bike.  The  lorry literally dragged the two for a few meters before halting. Priya died on the spot while Rayan died in the hospital. Rayan worked as an accountant in the hospital while Priya was a clerk there.

Locals point out how the flyover at  Thokkottu ends at the place where the road takes a turn towards Ullal leading to accidents.
