Nipah virus in Kerala: Health Department on alert in DK

Mangaluru, July 24, 2024: The Health Department in Dakshina Kannada district is on high alert following the detection of Nipah virus in Kerala.

It may be recalled here that a 14 year old boy from Malappuram had recently died due to Nipah virus infection.

As many students from Kerala are studying in the colleges in Dakshina Kannada district, the health department has instructed college authorities to inform it immediately if anyone developed Nipah symptoms.
