Nitte DU launches unique MBA program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development

Mangaluru, May 29, 2024: Nitte University, has announced the launch of a pioneering MBA program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) for the academic year 2024-25. This unique program is designed to train and nurture future first-time entrepreneurs and family business owners. It will be offered jointly by Nitte Atal Incubation Center and Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management.

 

Nitte (Deemed to be University) is among the top-ranked institutions in India, recognized by NITI Aayog to establish an Atal Incubation Centre under the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India. This initiative underscores the Nitte Group’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within Karnataka by providing comprehensive support to budding innovators, which includes mentorship, investor networking, and a suite of essential services. The MBA programs will be embedded within this incubation center and will provide experiential learning in establishing and nurturing start-ups.

The program spans two years and will offer two tracks - Start-up Establishment Track and2. Family Business Management Track. The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, internships, and specialized programs such as Entrepreneurship Development and Management Development, ensuring that candidates gain the tools, perspectives, and experiences crucial for success in entrepreneurship and family business leadership.

The program is open to graduates seeking to venture into innovative enterprises, individuals from family businesses aspiring for leadership roles, early-career professionals aiming to start their ventures and entrepreneurs looking to translate creative business concepts into successful ventures. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and must have a valid score in specified entrance exams or the Nitte NUCAT conducted by Nitte (Deemed to be University). Upon completion of the program, students will earn a master’s degree in Management and benefit from incubation support provided by the AIC Nitte Incubation Centre. This support includes assistance in the development, growth, and sustainability of their startups, as well as opportunities for project funding.
