Nitte Institute of Architecture to Host "AI for Educators" Train the Trainer series program

Mangaluru, February 6, 2025: Nitte Institute of Architecture (NIA) in association with Rotary Club of Mangalore and Rotary Club of Karkala has organized "AI for Educators" Train the Trainer Series program, focused on empowering school teachers with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. The event will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Nitte University Auditorium, Paneer Campus.

This vital series aims to equip educators with the tools and understanding necessary to navigate the increasingly AI-driven world and prepare their students for the future. The program is a testament to NIA’s commitment to not only architectural education but also broader community engagement and development.

The ceremony will feature esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Mr. H R Eshwara, MSc. MEd. KES., Block Education Officer, Mangalore South. Guests of Honor include prominent Rotarians RTN. Devraj Fernandes (President, Rotary Club Mangalore), RTN. Iqbal Ahmed (President, Rotary Club Karkala), and RTN. Freeda D’Souza (Director, Community Service, Rotary Club Mangalore), along with Mr. Shashi Kumar Shetty, NSS Coordinator, Nitte DU.

Expert resource persons, Dr. Venugopala P S, Professor & Head of AI & Data Science at NMAMIT, and Mr. Prajwal Hegde N, Assistant Professor of AI & Data Science at NMAMIT, will lead the training sessions.

The inauguration will be attended by Prof. Ar. Vinod Aranha, Director of NIA, Ar. Arul Paul, Faculty Coordinator of Rotract Nitte DU, and Mr. Anil Devadiga, NSS Program Officer of NIA. The young Rotaractors of the Rotaract Club of Nitte DU have also partnered with this event.
